Life /Soul is like a mirror; the body is dust on it.
Beauty in us is not percieved, for we are under the dust.

Ayse is currently in L.A. for a month. She points out that Rumi was buried in Turkey. One day i too would like to visit his final resting place too.
Yes, Ayse, I must reread Khalil Gibra .
An interesting couple of weeks ahead. Next Tuesday Me&Cath + Margaret & Don go see Lenny at the Opera House in Manchester.
Then early Thursday morning 24 Village People fly out to Benidorm until Sunday.I take my camera&Laptop & Video camera !
Perhaps the most interesting event comes afterwards! I still have the following week off.
Now, these last few weeks Ive been in contact with Mick's people in Italy. They are English. They are searching property for me to view.Mick told them of my interest. They asked him if i was a "Lager Lout". Mick reasurred them I was not.let us hope they dont see the Benidorm photos& Videos!!!
Mick flew back from Italy a couple of days ago.He has signed contracts!
He is on a High! Him and his partner (she who used to be married to the Ex-manager of Simply "things can only get better" Red). They plan to open an Arts Center in the property they have just bought.
In Italy buying a house seems different! It involved a 3 hour meeting with lawyers & translators..........Everybody from both sides must meet and sign& agree together physically in one place..........As they were buying 2 homes (to knock into one) this involved 30Italians turning up .from 2 extended families , some travelled from as far afield as Rome for the ceremony .It sounds like a wedding!Much hugging & kissing & wine drinking afterwards!
Anyhow..........provided I can get cheap flights (I,m still a Yorkshireman at Heart!) either Me& Chris or Me & Cath will fly out the middle of that second week to have our first look! Mick says we can stay in his new house.Watch This Space!
Belated thanks Don, for the 2 cds.You will be interested in this video of Otis Taylor and his "Recapturing The Banjo :The Black Banjo Project"........................Very Fine Strings!
Now taking my Benidorm hangover to Abruzzo is quite a contrast! But Contrast can help Vision? I was really surprised when Ayse said she loved LA ! (Never having been to California) I imagine it all Crome & Freeways.Ayse says it it gives an inner space & freedom............Maybe i will find the same?
Please Dont think I am some sort of rich bastard. My means are modest.However.since My Cancer Scare last year.well, Life Is Too Short............. Things look slightly different! capisca?

I'll have to think about that. I haven't a clue, and it's late.
Thanks, Rumi, I DO look great in the mirror.
LC will be fantastic & look forward to reading your review.
Italy sounds nice, especially the country. Have a few espresso 4 me!

No offense to those in S Ca, but N Ca is much prettier! ; )
Cheers!
Tony!.........
I had no idea of your cancer scare.... God bless!! for your pulling through....
sometimes there comes a point when none of the other stuff matters ...You are quite an inspiration...My "delimma" seems so small and defeatable in light of that kind of survival....
Kimberley Thank You X .but I'm only guessing at my itchy-feet! Perhaps it's only Atheletes Foot?!:) X
i was really scared last year....when you are my age you kinda have no goals given you.you have to make your own!
I hope you read that one!! I forgot I was here and not emailing you........xoxo
i'm glad you followed the suggestion about rumi, sugar...seems i wasn't the only one who felt you'd appreciate him. another suggestion, if i may...pablo neruda..you'll see why once you start reading his poetry. xoxxo
(really excited to hear about italy and what you find there!)
……….. If I think about the soul - that ethereal quality within - being a reflector- reflecting.
My body dust, which it is (star dust) covering me.
Beauty - another ethereal quality - we can’t perceive because of the covering.
I’m getting there.
I’ll be back. I’ll have a shower first.
Ha, have a good mid-summer.
Tony, I wish you A Happy Fathers' Day!!
I'm looking forward to a full report on Benidorm....ages since I was there.
