When Me & Cathy went to London in May for her 50th Birthday, after visiting Brompton Cemetery, (I know how to show a girl a good time)we got hungry & stopped at Random in this nearby Cafe.It seemed very pleasant & the owner was really friendly & chatty.I never realised until this morning the history of the place!
"The Troubadour was the first place where Bob Dylan performed in London. Paul Simon, Charlie Watts, Sammy Davis jnr and Jimi Hendrix have all played here. Richard Harris fell in love with his wife Elizabeth here (she was doing the washing up). Ken Russell recruited staff for his first shorts here, and it was here that he became friends with Oliver Reed. Led Zeppelin used to come and jam here after their Earl's Court gigs. Tom Robinson and Elvis Costello used to play here too.................."read more>>>

Humour is a good way to relieve stress when faced with the loss of people close to us. When my ma-in-law was given the last rites, she farted. The last thing she ever heard was her family around her giggling.
Good luck for Thursday pal.
That cafe sounds amazing.
All my heroes.
Still thinking of you.
.... laughing and crying is the same release I hear.
Very homely looking place the Café.
You’re in my thoughts this week Tony.
Take it easy.
And Tom Paxton sang about The Troubadour in "Leaving London."
................Last night the Troubadour
Was so full they barred the door
And I sang a song she knows quite well
But it wouldn't take too long
To make up another song
For a lonesome and a last farewell
Ah yes the Troubadour. I learned how to make a coffee last for hours in that place.
