rock of ages

Over the next few weeks I will be developing a new blog at  http://zimnoch.blogspot.co.uk
Much more image related. To kick it off,I will be stealing interesting images I find on the web.Hopefully ,over time, I will throw in a few of my own creations.......that's the plan anyway.
You should also  see some  movement between here+ there. But it  is going to be  kinda gradual ( + partial?) As a result  the look  here will change here too .Stay Tuned!

Gillian Welch:Santa Cruz:2002
BOB
I met with Bob in Haslingdon today.Bob (75) is planning a Fortean trip to  Transilvania in September.Seven of us now travel. It's getting real!

This Week I Have Been Moving Around Folk More Than Usual. It Must Be Spring? I Found Some Energy
From Various Places.I am not depressed at the moment !
Long May This  Continue!
Margaret & Don
This week Don & Margaret got me a ticket to attend an address by the Dalai Lama in Manchester in June .Thank You.I will send the Brass in paper form in the post along with a couple of cds of Gillian Welch I got.[details:]
I'm sure I will see you both before then but I will post next week anyway.

Pepe
Early in the week I went to see Pepe in Halifax.I haven't seen Pepe for a while ,so it was nice to catch up.Pepe is a fine fellow!I worked with him for several years at Social Services. He was born in Italy, but when young ,the family moved to Uruguay. In his 20s he moved to England and married a Halifax lass.
Martin.
He's given me the address of friends in Umbria  who might help with my current building in Abruzzo. We also arranged to have a night out with me & Phil The Ex-Fireman!
Pepe tells a lovely story about how he was born in Italy! His Mum (heavily pregnant) had to take a solo bus journey in the remote Italian countryside by bus.In the middle of nowhere she began her labour. The bus driver stopped & delivered Pepe while the other passengers sat and watched![ and ,no doubt, applauded]

Joan & Hydn
On Thursday I attended the funeral of Margery Gladys Thorpe (Martin's Mum) in Langley. A beautiful service. You did her Proud Martin!
I went with Joan & Hydn to the service.

You've had a rich and varied week, Tony. Love the photograph, and Gillian Welch is always a great choice.

I'd love to see the Dalai Lama!

Love Pepe birth story, though it must have been scary for his Mum and the Bus Driver!!

I tried to check out your Daddy's in the basement, but couldn't access it. Your photo is too funny, if that's the daddy in the basement, he appears like a scary Bob Dylan! I'll check back later! I hope your weekend is as beautiful as ours here!

Transylvania is beautiful. Some deadly fruit schnapps distilled on the farms.
And you could take a dip in the lovely Santa Anna lake in an extinct volcano in the Carpathians on the old border between Hungary and Romania - not far off the road to Brasov.
Happy memories of days gone by.
I have some pics of that time
