DISPATCHES FROM THE REEL WAR

Zelensky wartime Vogue photoshoot, because this is the "new normal" now.

I wonder how the soldiers on the front line and the families who have recently lost people on the front lines feel about them having time to promote themselves in Vogue!

How much money did they pocket ?

Let's play a fun game:

Quiz -

 (1) This happy couple have just won a $180 Million lottery jackpot.

(2) They've just returned from honeymoon.

(3) 200,000 of their countrymen have just died and 1000 more dying daily

Watch Interview With Sam Tarry This Morning

Ben Kentish: 'Do you think Keir Starmer has got a worse relationship with the trade unions than Tony Blair did?'

Labour MP Sam Tarry: 'I think far worse. Far worse.'

Much talk over the past 24 hours about a" General Strike". ( Most notably from  Mick Lynch )

But people have muttered such stuff for several years , yet  it  comes to nowt. I will believe it when I see it .

But I hope it happens! Bring It On!

It's illegal to sack a trade unionist for attending a picket line. Unfortunately, Labour politicians don't get the same degree of protection.

See video of BBC’s "The Gallows Pole" shoot up Erringdon Moor at Cragg Vale

View the Sony Promotional (3 minute )video + text  Here:

"Shane Meadows is known for his naturalistic style of filmmaking.

Those who have worked with the director know that he likes improvisation from his actors and camera work that allows for a bit of serendipity.

Few are more aware of this than cinematographer Danny Cohen, who has worked with Meadows on multiple projects, including Dead Man’s Shoes and This Is England, as well as the TV spin-offs This Is England ‘86 and This Is England ‘88.

So, when Cohen began work on Meadows’ new period drama, The Gallows Pole, he knew it would be a challenge to relish.

The BBC period drama tells the tale of a group of 18th century workers in Yorkshire, as they gang together and conspire to run the biggest fraud ever seen in Britain. The show is populated by recognizable faces from British TV and major cinema releases, as well as a host of new talent. Meadows wanted to give them all creative freedom with their performances, while making sure he could capture every moment possible.

And that meant plenty of camera coverage. Cohen chose for his crew to shoot on four Sony cameras: two VENICEs, one FX6 and one FX3. Designed to work together and complement each other, these Sony Cinema Line cameras have common strengths that made them ideal for Meadows’ period production: excellent latitude, natural skin tones and a filmic image."

The Forde Report : Things The Guardian wont tell you.

As the character
Hector Barbossa  said in the film   Pirates of The Caribbean.
“You're off the edge of the map, mate. Here there be monsters.”

You know Corbyn could have beaten the Tories. He just couldn't beat the Labour Party.

Read  about the just released Forde Report here :

Inflation Latest : it is now 3 journalists needed to handle one Mick Lynch.

Mick Lynch does the Hokey Cokey while the 3 blokes with him try to trip him up! That What It's All About !

My 29 day ban on Facebook : view the offending video.

Rather oddly, I was given a 29 day ban by facebook for posting this video today '

It  refers to the current problems of Boris Johnson here in UK

Bit of a shame as this month I celebrate my 70 th birthday & we go away on holiday.

I have appealed the ban , but it's unlikely to be overturned ( it seems , i discover too late, they always ban this particular parody video,no matter the topic )

The upshot is that I will be posting more here during my 29 exile..

Facebook's gain is your loss.......

I went for a few drinks at The Upper George in Halifax on Friday . We bumped into a facebook Friend who had a spare ticket for Primal Scream who were playing The Peice Hall that evening . It would have been rude not to go...... Image Gallery
