This is distinctly surreal Tony! That poor little beggar isn’t texting, he’s counting his few grubby farthings to see if he can afford a visit to Mrs Miggin’s Pie Shop!

Spock supposedly lived a very long time, so he was probably around in Victorian times.
Those poor lads look very forlorn. Do you think they have been working or at school? Looks like they have been to the factories.
Great quotes...I love the first one!

Ha! Spock looks great in sepia. Despite their obvious poverty the boys look better dressed than today's youth, oh dear I'm showing my age...

Now look what happens when I go away for a few weeks. In my absence you embark on a philosophical discourse and start visiting posh hotels. But I do agree with you about the need to ponder. Let's meet up soon and catch up over a pint - and then ponder over a second.

The Norton Grange is about 15 minutes from where I live and is very nice Tony. We stayed there on New Year's Eve and had a great time. Enjoy :)

A texting time traveler, Spock as Rube Goldberg, and some interesting quotes. Oh sure, I will ponder while you're off to a fancy spa. Have fun, I guess.

Pondering has led me off on a wonderful wild goose chase. I think that's probably what it's supposed to do.

Spock back in Sepia! There are thoughts there to consider... I had time to ponder this AM for hours until our power came back on. Pondering it's a good thing!

I love pondering too. Have a great time. I am pondering the differences in the way the boys are dressed. Some look like coming or going to school all dressed up and some in working clothes. Looks like some have lunch pails. great photos.

You have gone all philosophical on us - and I will be spending my weekend pondering (as requested) why it is that you get to go to Norton Grange and I don't.
