Gravity Is A Wonderful Thing

Jeeze. These Images Are Blurry. They Look Like They Have Been Faxed From Outer Space.
The Photo Below Is Of Me & My Big Brother Ziggy.
This Week's Sepia Saturday  theme is in & around the subject of Space Travel.
I have no family photos of such things.West Yorkshire in the 1960's was a tad short of Rockets & such like (except in our heads!)But I remember following all those spacecrafts and stuff......it seemed to me, Russians;Dogs;Americans;Everybody was going up there.I pondered, maybe everyone was going there & pretty soon , I would be left alone here on Earth! Happily , they all seemed to return (in one fashion or another) Gravity Is Such  A Wonderful Thing!

Finally for today, Here are some book buying ideas for the Sepian in Your Life......................

Your brother looks a lot older than you from this photo.
Like the Robb Johnson video...the view is amazing.
I hope you get over the flu and feel better soon.

If a tightrope breaks or a parachute doesn't open, gravity only increases the gravity of the situation. Enjoyed your post and pics!

Ah, the space-race. Part of the soundtrack to our younger days. All those small steps for man, eh?

Great pics of the band in full flow. Did I spot Lemmy there?

Hope the flu is subsiding. Have a good weekend.

That’s not ‘Ziggy’ as in ‘Stardust.......and The Spiders From Mars' is it? That might have been pushing the theme a bit too far :)

tony said...

Nell, I 'd Not Thought Of That!:)Maybe It was his Spiders From Mars What did-for my Twitter account?

Oh my goodness not the Frenchman;Flu, oh no!! lol I am still laughing at Lester, and my what big fingerprints for such a little puppet-man! Do take good care, thanks for the music too! Always a joy to check out your blog!

The blurred photo reminds of being a kid spinning around and around on the lawn watching the world go by in a blur until gravity finally brought be to the ground.

And Shatner singing, it just doesn't get any more wonderfully strange.

So, what can you tell me about Lester-is he single?

I couldn't watch the whole William Shatner clip. Something about him...I like Lester though.

tony said...

I wonder if Lester is related to Jennifer Aniston? I sense a resemblance ..........The photo of me was taken on our house's Garden Lawn.It was on this very Lawn @ That very period that I indulged in my then favourite recreational high of Choice of Spinning Until I Got Dizzy. How (on Earth) did you know that??????

Okay there is music in the background and since you really can't hear this, my singing voice is the best ever!"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Tony happy birthday to you!" ... have the best ever birthday celebrations! Be sure to make a wish before you blow out your candles...or your wish won't come true!
