Cath took this photo of me in Hebden Bridge last Sunday. I really dont smile a lot, do I ?
What is that all about ? Bad Teeth ?Slavic personality ? a chronic  lack of humour  & empathy ...?
Its a mystery......

But!this week's sepia saturday   is about "unsmiling faces"  So it kinda fits the bill.Non?

the last time my smile was ever captured on camera was here, 15 years ago, entering a club toilet in Blackpool. So perhaps its better i dont make a habit of it......?

I don't have the face muscles for smiling; I can only smirk.

That "smile" as you enter the toilet is actually rather scary. In mind, you are always smiling.

I LIKE your smile, Tony -- do it more often!

It looks like you were wondering why on earth she was taking that first photo? Some people, however, simply don't smile all that much even if they're happy & that must be you. Me, on the other hand - I find a lot to smile about in this world. I smile at strangers walking down the street just to see if they'll smile back! Happily, most do.

A forced smile rarely turns out very attractive.

I had to jump and turn my speakers down...didn't realize I'd be blasted with rock! Great after that. Smiles should reflect our feelings, not be imposed from the outside. Just saying...

That a "smile" not unlike Jack Nicholson in The Shining! "I'm back!!!"
