memory is more like art than fact

PLANETS

Our man Dizzy , in the prompt photo for this week's sepia saturday ,seems to be in dreamland.
Which reminded me of  this story of Commandant Darget. The man who photographed dreams.

One of my favorite albums (now CD) is "Ella in Berlin," which was a knockout performance, during which she forgets the lyrics to Mack the Knife and just ad libs most of it...amazing.

That talented woman could scat like nobody's business! I caught one of her shows years ago and she was amazing! One of my favorite memories from that show is the deft way she handled a heckler in the audience - quieting him down without actually 'putting' him down. A classy lady with a marvelous voice!

The more I hear about her personally , the more I like.

I thought Dizzy looked as if he was in dreamland too. Those mental dream photos might sell as art today. I would not have guessed they were 1900s, so I wonder if Freud knew about them. Not unlike x-rays, cat-scans, and sonograms it's about trying to see the invisible man.

Thanks for the great links. The dream photos are eerily familiar to me. Now I'm busy reading about Commandant Darget.

I wonder if photos of Commandant Darget exist ,or is he invisible?

Yes, that’s it, dreamland, listening to heavenly music. I think we can safely say he was transported.

'might be the very reason he called himself Dizzy.........
