Shall be the maws of kites.........

This week's  sepia saturday ,; seems to be around the themes of people;bathing:seaside; sand; etc
Today I visited (for the first time) Hebden Bridge Antiques Centre well worth a general look around. But what especially pleased me was a big buckety -thing selling old/random sepia photography! Hundreds...!
Its very unusual to see this nowadays.50p each .Which I thought "not bad".
it would take me hours to look at them all (must go back next week) but I did find several concerning this week's theme.
Here are two.(no notes on the back)
the maws of kites (at the seaside!)

On the subject of seachanges , Me & Cathy voted this morning in the UK Local elections. We voted again for Jeremy Corbyn's socialist Labour Party. In addition, I went out canvassing for the party this evening. Here is Cathy pictured with fellow Party member Rodger.
You, my American visitors, remember the name Jeremy Corbyn .https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Corbyn
Think of him as a scruffy, slightly more radical   Bernie Sanders, who rides a bike & grows his own veg...!
He could well be Britain's new Prime Minister within the next 12 months.

Lovely music. I've done some sifting through thrift store photos too. It's hard to find anything for less than
a dollar each. It does take a lot of time and patience but it can be a nice calm way to spend
an hour or two. People certainly dressed up for the beach didn't they? I had to google "the maws of kites." Thanks for
the inspiration. Watching British TV series on Netflix, I've had to do a lot of translations recently. "How perfectly wizard" "Oh my giddy aunt" I'm no stranger to the treacle sponge." Good for you out canvassing for your party!

Great find with those photos. I envy you being able to go back and look for more! But isn't it sad when there are no names or locations or any sort identification on them. In that case, I just make up my own stories about who they are and where they were. What the hey! :)

Oh, how I wish I could make such a find! Unfortunately I live near only 1-2 antique shops, and they hardly ever have any vintage photographs for sale. i will keep on the look out though!

Great find in those buckets of photos!

Two perfect vernacular snapshots and to my eye they are separated by at least two decades or more. I wish you and Britain much luck on changing the political order. We've got even more work to do over here.

Good to hear you are one of the people working for change politically. So many of us have become apathetic over the disappointments that have become the norm in politics...but many are re-energized these days!
