It looks so modern. Colourising photos has a real political side to it, I think. It reminds one that the passage of time does not render things irrelevant. What was done to the Native American peoples was done to real people, just like the people who are alive now. It sounds obvious but it's not to a lot of people.

I know purists would say you shouldn't colour or tamper but that's missing the point imho. Yes ,too many still think of Native Americans through the eyes of John Wayne or The Lone Ranger....in a strange way "colour" makes us think with new eyes.
