Tie two birds together.
They will not be able to fly, even though they now have four wings

My Mum Died At 7 pm Last Night.
This Is A Photo Of Her Taken By The Halifax Evening Courier in 1983.
I was quite embarrassed & puzzled about it at the time.
She had left the Budgie's cage open &;the living room window open.It had flown away......................!I really do not know what she was thinking of? She lived very near the Newspaper Building.Perhaps she hoped the bird had flown in and perched on the Editor's desk?
Anyway. She was appealing to the readers to report any sightings.
More innocent times. These day the local paper is full of Murders &;; Drugs Raids......................
6 months after this photo was taken My Dad died suddenly.............................
I have prettier photos&;stories&memories of This Beautuiful Woman...........but this story seems so poignant to me today.

oh, so very sorry to hear about your mother.Very sad.
I wish you peace and comfort.
My great grandma, a few months before she died --she'd copied out "Crossing The Bar" by Tennyson--in very wobbly spidery handwriting in a little notebook. I had never heard of Tennyson when my dad gave me the book, (other than Charge of the Light Brigade maybe ) but I think of that poem whenever someone dies and it's comforting somehow.
Sunset and evening star...
Hugs to you from someone whose mum took flight many years ago.
So sorry Tony - I feel I knew her a bit from your writings.
You look a bit like her.
Much love.
My sincere condolence.
Mum is a very special person and it is always a big shock .
I know that may sound silly to say, but when we’re “grown up” the perception is we take the inevitable in our wise stride, but you Tony are wiser now, now that your’re an orphans.
Sincerely Alan.

if there are any heavens my mother will (all by herself) have
one. It will not be a pansy heaven nor
a fragile heaven of lilies-of-the-valley but
it will be a heaven of blackred roses
my father will be (deep like a rose
tall like a rose)
standing near my
(swaying over her
silent)
with eyes which are really petals and see
nothing with the face of a poet really which
is a flower and not a face with
hands
which whisper
This is my beloved my
(suddenly in sunlight
he will bow,
& the whole garden will bow)

Tony...my condolences. Peace and joy, Dale
My thoughts are with you Tony.

Sorry to hear that Tony :-(
You do look like your mum as Kaz said.
Hugs
Tony,
So sorry to read this post where I find not only your mother passed on, but your father too. My dad died a couple of months after your mom. I know how hard it is.
