not fade away

In 1911, Bobby Leach survived a plunge over Niagara Falls in a steel barrel.
Fourteen years later, in New Zealand, he slipped on an orange peel and died.

“Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.” — Will Rogers
“Where is the Life we have lost in living?” — T.S. Eliot

Love the quotes, particularly the Steinbeck quote. So descriptive of the restlessness of the humankind.;))
Hope you had a nice weekend Tony,

I love the quote inside the illustration. Yes, make it a good one. Your own seems fascinating, Tony. Love this collage style blog of yours. Very unique.

Having recently strained my leg by playing crown green bowling, I am thinking of looking for a suitable barrel to take on Niagara Falls with. However every time I find a suitable barrel I realise I need to drink it dry and that somehow gets in the way of my trip to Niagara.
