Ken & Stan

Stan The Man was in the same class as me at Clare Hall Halifax 1963-1968
A wonderful bloke.
He died a few weeks back & me & Ken attended his funeral on Thursday.
A very professional  & kind service. They even hired horses, plumes, people in black hats & jompers to carry his coffin to the service
'funeral  ended , as Family & Friends walked out the Crem, Stan's  favourite tune played LOUD!. "Dont Eat The Yellow Snow"
Bravo Stanley.You Won.

Me,Phil & Stan.

just like tom thumb blues

So a boring week !
It's just felt like a 'rehersal' but for what? I dont know......
Last week ,while visiting Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, I tripped in the multi-story car park next to the Market.Breaking my fall. i grazed my thumb.
No big deal ,but the cut was on the joint . Over the last week it became infected & swollen. Hypochondria spread like a coronia virus.....  Hence the photos ⓒ Cathy Zimnoch
The week's good news is, I stumbled upon  a book in Hebden Bridge Library .
It is  the finest prose  I have read in many a long year.....
.Set in the Basque Region of Spain. It's about a serial killer, but it is much more than that.
[More Federico García Lorca than Raymond Chandler.]
Written by Dolores Redondo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolores_Redondo  it reads like the finest  poetry.Reminding  me of the style of  Anne Micheals https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugitive_Pieces
Beautiful stuff...unique. Myth, magic, folklore, withcraft, psychogeography, and much much more...... please steal & read it!
They have also made a movie of it.'Not seen ,probably crap, but hey! This is it's trailer....
